About the Fresnel Lens
 

The Forty Mile Point Lighthouse light is an active
4th Order light and is probably the third or fourth
light installed in the Forty Mile Point tower.
The brass collar is engraved with the name of the manufacturer,
Henri LePaute, and is dated 1872.
